Culinary Makers is dedicated to empowering food startups led by underserved entrepreneurs, providing them with the resources, mentorship, and space to turn their culinary dreams into reality. We believe in the power of food to bring communities together, and we see this platform as a catalyst for change, a launchpad where talent meets opportunity, and where every aspiring food entrepreneur has the chance to thrive, innovate, and make their mark on the world.

The Need for Culinary Incubator Programs in Florida

Florida’s dynamic and diverse food scene is brimming with entrepreneurial talent, yet many aspiring food business owners—especially women, immigrants, and minority entrepreneurs— face signicant barriers to entry. High startup costs, limited access to commercial kitchen spaces, complex regulatory requirements, and a lack of industry connections often prevent talented chefs and food artisans from successfully launching or scaling their businesses.

Culinary incubator programs serve as vital resources to bridge these gaps, fostering economic growth and innovation within Florida’s food industry

Navigating Regulations & Compliance

Florida’s food industry is heavily regulated, requiring businesses to comply with health codes, licensing, and food safety standards.

Culinary incubators offer guidance and technical support, helping business owners secure permits, meet health department requirements, and ensure food safety compliance—all crucial steps for long-term success.
